Project Management Office (PMO)

A centre of expertise, the Project Management Office (PMO) provides project management skills to SIMS and oversees project tracking and approvalProject tracking is one function of the Project Management Office. functions to ensure all project implementation efforts are timely, appropriate and financially responsible.

SIMS’ PMO is currently working on more than 70 projects across our partner sites. The partnership has also been selected by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to carry out many provincial initiatives that PMO staff partake in, such as the Emergency Department – General Internal Medicine Transformation Project, Critical Care Information System and the Emergency Department Information System.

Our Team

The largest health care project management office of its kind in Canada, PMO staff come from various educational backgrounds and have diverse professional training in fields such as health sciences, engineering, health informatics, computer science and business. SIMS’ PMO positions include Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Senior Project Analysts, Project Analysts and Co-op students to allow for flexibility, exposure to projects and accelerated staff development.
